She looked back over at Owlmask. She was getting a bit of a feeling about this. Maybe it was nothing. And, even if it was something, it probably wasn't anything too major. But, anyway, as she listened him, she couldn't help but frown a bit. Then, she replied, "Eh, the forest cats probably just think too highly of themselves. Bet they wouldn't be so uppity with a couple hard smacks to the face. Anyway, it was nothing, really."
"They don't know what it's like, sometimes...living on your own." Owlmask agreed, shaking his head sadly. The remains of the crow seemed to be far too old to bring back to camp now, and he sadly looked down upon it, before sighing and tossing dirt overtop of it, burying the creature.
"Care to hunt with me before they miss me back at camp?" He asked. He knew that he'd enjoy her company for a little longer. "Like...watch this!"

A much smaller bird fluttered along the ground, filting through the trees. It was no crow, but it would still be impressive if Owlmask could capture it while Rex watched. He crouched low, against the ground, and just as the bird seemed to sense danger, he sprang.

With his heavy white paws, he batted the bird from the sky, the impact crushing the bird's skull and making it lie still in the dirt. He was breathing heavily, but clearly proud of his work.
"That's something I can do well, at least." He purred, proudly, as he licked his lips and ate a bit of the Blackbird himself, nudging the rest over to her. 1d6+9·1d6+6

The night was growing around them, and while Owlmask finished his meal, he nudged the bird closer to Rex as he stood up. "Or...maybe I should look at getting back to camp." He growled, wearily. It had grown dark, his paws were heavy, and well - it was scary around here after dark. The others should be wondering where he was at that moment.
Before he left, however, he turned to look at Rex over his shoulder. "Look, uh...If you want to come with me I'm sure you'd be welcome back at camp. You've helped us out enough before."
She couldn't help but lick her lips, and ate the rest of the Blackbird. She hadn't really noticed before how dark it was getting. As he suggested he should probably getting back to camp, she nodded, and was about to leave, when suddenly, he suggested she should come back to camp with him. Turning to look back at him, she pondered. "Well...If you're sure."
