Creekclan’s leader sat tall under the magnificent Brightrock, illuminated by the great moon and reflecting it’s glow upon her own gleaming pelt. Her very posture was one of dignified pride, her slender head held high, paws and tail tucked formally. Sweeping her pale gaze across the moonlit cats, she observed which cats had attended the gathering. Easily, she recognized both clan‘s familiar deputies, Ashenmane and Tigerblaze, and to Cougarheart who was dipping his head to the deputy of Nestclan.
Then, she picked out Wasppaw’s smaller form. She was concerned, and curious, to see how the apprentice handled meeting the other clans. Luckily, he seemed he was doing just fine, and Pearlstar could not hold back an amused smile from tugging the corner of her mouth as he stretched himself to meet the black-and-white apprentice’s height. Among the rest, she noticed a rather lovely and young red she-cat who kept to the shadows and did not easily make her presence known. A shame, for certain.
Then, she slowly turned as Ravenstar addressed them. In all truthfulness, Pearlstar respected the Glenclan leader in some ways, but also put barriers to defend herself from him. Pearlstar had, of course, been utterly shocked when such a young cat ascended to the rank of leader. It was not often heard of, and she was indeed skeptical of him. As time passed she was beginning to accept him. But behind that supposedly charismatic demeanor of his, she had a different impression. She knew his type. He was serpentine, a cat who’d beguile others with subtle schemes. She could not resent this fact however, because if she was correct in her assessment it was admirable. Yet because of it, Pearlstar knew she’d be a fool to ever fully trust him
"I trust the journey here was not much trouble? Hm?"
“Of course not.” Stated Pearlstar, facing the black feline. In a warmer tone, she added “We were blessed with our deputy’s kits before leaving. But I trust everything is well with Glenclan?”
