Amberpaw heard her mentor's voice and it made her jump slightly. Glancing over her shoulder, she confirmed it was her. The young she-cat hated acting this way, but the possibility that her mentor saw her shook her to the core. Yet, what didn't make any sense was if she did see Amberpaw why hadn't she scolded her or done anything about it? Perhaps, Amberpaw was worried about nothing. Perhaps her secret was still a secret held between Ravenstar and herself only.
Amberpaw noticed the prey that Lynxstrike and Dewdapple had brought back. This made her stomach growl and Amberpaw felt her checks flush red under her matching dark ginger fur. Turning her warm dark eyes towards Firepelt, she purred and smiled.
"Want to share a meal?"
Amberpaw felt her hunger grow and she knew she had to eat soon. Walking over to the pile, she took a share of the Sturgeon, would take a little more if Firepelt informed her. Walking back the the tom, she settled down and began to eat her meal. The food was greatly needed and she found a new energy once more. Amberpaw looked at her feather, keeping it close to her. She began to wonder if she would be able to see him at the gathering, that was if she would be able to go.

Cedarpaw watched the sky darken as it turned into night. She looked over at Wasppaw. "You couldn't possibly want to hear what a medicine cat does. It's somewhat boring, unless your trying to find the right herb for the right illness. Because we don't know much yet, it's difficult to say what herbs we can use if the cat is just sick or something bigger than that... And now the gathering'll start soon... You'll probably go again, and maybe Amberpaw can go too... " Cedarpaw looked at her paws, her hazel eyes refusing to look anywhere else.
Amberpaw noticed that Firepelt had fallen silent and she wondered if he was alright. Looking around she noticed that Cedarpaw was speaking to Wasppaw and wondered if it would be alright to join in. Rising to her white paws, she began to make her way over to the group of two.
Lynxstrike snorted derisively as the she-cat commented on his lack of attentiveness, tilting his head upwards. "I'd remember who you're speaking too, young one; I remember when you were just an Apprentice. Unless you want someone to remind everyone who was afraid of mice their first time out of camp, I'd stick to taking care of your apprentice and not bother with anyone else!"
With that, he turned, and picked up another piece of prey, a piece of turtle. "Shouldn't we be more worried about where we're going for that Meeting, Pearlstar? I don't want anyone else thinking we're late because of foolish warriors..."
Her lips curled venomously and she bit back the desire to claw a chunk out of the elder tom's ear. How dare he bring something up like that - she had proven herself to be a wonderful hunter, a worthy warrior.
She stalked to the side, flicking her tail at Amberpaw. "Amber...come here....look at this, this should be taken care of..." She knocked the Sturgeon from the pile, noting that it's flesh had grown rigid and it's smell putrid. "Bury it and grab something to eat. You may very well be getting to go to the Gathering tonight." She ordered, taking a selection of food herself, the woodchuck...barely registering that it had been brought in by Lynxstrike.
Dawnpaw sat at the edge of the clearing, watching everyone as they chatted. She curled her tail around her paws and stared up at the stars, her eyes were shining from the bright light they gave. The gentle breeze ruffled her fur as the familiar creekclan scents filled her nose. Dawnpaw then got startled as a leaf blew into her (she gets scared very easily). She quickly sat back down and batted the leaf away, hoping no one saw her. Embarresed, she curled her tail over again and watched the stars once more.
Dawnpaw wantes to be alone, but not in camp. She quietly got up, brushing off her fur, then ran along the edge of the clearing, staying under the shadows and went out of camp. Her eyes were gleaming as the moonlight reflected on the forest. She shook her fur off, and ran out of camp into the forest.
Wasppaw frowned as Cedarpaw shied away from his interest. Well, he was stumped. Rather than being pleased by his question, she seemed nervous? Embarrassed? Of his many obvious talents, being emotionally adept was not one of them. He could try coaxing her, but then it felt like he was working too hard at trying to convince her he was interested. Well... he wanted to be, anyway. She did mention that finding herbs or something was interesting because of... well... what was that, again?
Wasppaw forced a charming smile and simply shrugged. The awkward moment was saved by the approach of Amberpaw. As the she-cat joined them, all conversation prior disappeared from his mind. He hadn't seen her since before the Gathering -- it felt like a lifetime. He took a half-step forward, but then hesitated. He had caught himself in the middle of an overly enthusiastic greeting and felt somewhat odd about the ordeal. Wasppaw was not one for shyness.
Instead, he settled for a dip of his head. "Hey Amberpaw," he greeted, before glancing at a feather that accompanied her. "Er... you got a little something... Right there." Wasppaw frowned at the feather, not recognizing it as belonging to any of the prey in camp. He wasn't the most observant of cats, though, so he dismissed the oddity with a shrug.
The thought of any prey at all had captured his attention. Stealing a hungry glance at the prey pile, he excused himself and padded quickly over. There was a diverse menu today. Wasppaw liked variety. He remembered that his last meal had been turtle -- which hadn't been so bad, actually, but he was desperate at the time. After taking a leisurely time choosing, Wasppaw took generous bites of the woodchuck. He bent his head back, reveling in the flavor. Apparently, he had been downright famished -- but all was well with the world now. He wouldn't be so careless as to ignore his stomach again (though truthfully, he'd forget his tail if it wasn't attached to him).
Re-energized, he returned to Cedarpaw and Amberpaw with light, sweeping steps. A special strut, as he recalled Amberpaw had not yet been able to revel in his new warrior-like stature.
"So... the Gathering's tonight. Excited? 'Cause I am!" It did cross his mind that he might not be chosen, since he had gone last time, but... Wasppaw was ever excited at the prospect of a party. "Hey, if any of you go without me, you better share everything when you come back." He turned and winked at Amberpaw. "Hey, maybe we can compare notes." he joked, knowing he had yet to share his own account of the Gathering as promised. At least they'd have much to talk about if she did go.
(Dawnpaw enters) Dawnpaw walked into the clearing, holding a plump frog in her jaws. She walked over to the fresh kill pile and dropped the frog in the pile. Dawnpaw walked to a spot im the clearing which was glowing from the faint stars. She sat down and gazed up at the beautiful sky, her eyes gleaming with curiosity as the light filled her eyes and gave her fur a tint of pale blue. She neatly tucked her paws next to her chest and curled her tail around her tucked paws. Warmth filled her body, as if a small, harmless fire was next to her. She snapped out of her stare and slipped her paws down as she laid down on the rough ground, her eyes still watching the sky as her tail curled around her small body.
The she-cat made note of the tom's confused interest in her feather. Not wanting to reveal to much of the meeting with Ravenstar, the she-cat avoided going into great detail.
"I caught a bird and I kept the feather as a trophy," Amberpaw said with a bright smile.
Amberpaw purred at Wasppaw's comment of the gathering. When he gave a playful wink, she understood his meaning and released a delighted giggle.
"Of course Wasppaw," Amberpaw said giving a playful wink back.
Then her conversation with the other two apprentices came to a stop when she heard her mentor call her name. Dewdapple had instructed her to dispose of the old prey and also to eat. Amberpaw didn't dare go against her mentor's words, not after what she could have seen.
"All talk to you guys later," Amberpaw said nodding her head towards Wasppaw and Cedarpaw.
Turning to her mentor, she called out, "Alright Dewdapple, I do that in a moment."
Picking up her feather, she ran towards the apprentice den. (Amberpaw Exits)
(Amberpaw Enters) No longer having to worry about losing her feather, the young she-cat started to focus on her mentor's orders. Approaching the fresh-kill pile, she covered his nose with her small white paws. The sturgeon was releasing a foul scent and Amberpaw somewhat dreaded having to deal with it. Figuring it would be better if she ate first, the she-cat took a part of the woodchuck, similar to her mentor. Knowing the urgency of her task, she ate her meal in fast quick bites. Once she was done, she carefully picked up the sturgeon, making sure she didn't taste or eat any part of the foul thing. Taking it close to the first place, she began to dig a hole big enough for the remainder of the body. Once she had done that, she dropped the body inside and covered it up. Satisfied with her work, she returned to her mentor side.
"I'm done Dewdapple," Amberpaw said looking at her mentor with shining golden amber eyes.

Dawnpaw was once again got bored and felt like practicing her hunting skill some more, dawnpaw got up, quickly licked her fur clean and ran out of camp as energetic as a kit being apprenticed. Before leaving, dawnpaw glanced back at the moonlit camp.
Littlepaw walked into the center of camp hoping to find something to eat.She saw a few piees of prey by the fresh kill pile that she could choose from and dicided to go with the Woodchuck. She went over to it and moved it away a bit so she could eat part of it without getting the other fresh kill. Once it was moved away enoguh for her Little paw sat down and began to eat part of the Woodchuck. Once she was done she moved it back a bit so other cats of her clan could eat it when they needed to. With her Hunger gone she went back over to the Apprentice den and went inside.
